General Dynamics Awarded $11 Million to Support U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command
FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), was awarded a task order in September 2012 by the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command to provide engineering services to support the Army’s Enterprise Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) systems, configuration management database and enterprise service desk. This task order was awarded under the Total Engineering and Integration Services (TEIS) III contract and has a value of $11.3 million over two years, if all options are exercised.
General Dynamics will deliver systems engineering services to support ITSM implementation at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., and various Army installations. These engineering services will include development, integration, implementation, training and maintenance support, as well developing ITSM process implementation plans in support of the Army’s Network and Enterprise Technology Command and Cyber Command.
“General Dynamics has supported the Army’s Remedy ITSM development and implementation for six years and brings comprehensive knowledge to the current development of ITSM processes,” said Zannie Smith, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology’s National and Homeland Security division. “We understand the complexity of the Army’s multiple tenant organizations and diversity of IT services and infrastructure, and we will staff this effort with qualified and certified experts who understand what is required to standardize a global enterprise ITSM capability.”
General Dynamics Information Technology has worked with the Army Information Systems Engineering Command for more than 10 years, providing a variety of IT, communications and engineering services. The company currently provides systems engineering support to the Transmission Systems Directorate for the Senior National Leadership Communications as well as Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP) support for top level architecture implementation.
The TEIS III contract is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract awarded in March 2011.
