QA Process
SRA's Quality Assurance (QA) process is compliant with industry best practices such ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Standard and CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model and Integration (CMMI) Level 3 Maturity Model as defined in our Project Management Handbook (PMH) and Enterprise Lifecycle Integration and Technology Engineering (ELITE®) Methodology. SRA’s ELITE®) Methodology spans the entire enterprise life cycle, from strategic planning, enterprise architecture, and business process reengineering through system development, implementation, and institutionalization of change, including managing the on-going IT operations services. Standard methodologies prove their value when they address a project’s specific needs and provide practical guidance and tools for the project team. ELITE® does not dictate a specific life cycle, set of techniques, or specific tools. Each project uses a subset of the ELITE® processes to perform its engineering work, based on the project scope of work. At program startup, a project selects the applicable techniques and tools to efficiently and effectively implement the ELITE® processes.
SRA’s documented QA processes ensure that reviews and verifications required by these processes represent unbiased assessments of the quality of our products and services. These QA processes address planning, tracking, reporting, scheduling, and leading QA activities at the project level as addressed in required QA Plans. Through peer and independent reviews, we ensure the clarity, compliance, presentation, and completeness of all deliverables. Each project is assigned an independent Project QA Official (PQAO) who reports to a corporate officer working outside of the TO chain, but within the QA process. The PQAO conducts independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements and tailored SRA processes, CMMI Level 3, ISO standards, and ensure that project teams are implementing the appropriate documented quality control procedures.
