Provide customer and program support as Navy Training Management and Planning System (NTMPS) Training Analyst/MPTE Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Navy Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education (MPTE), Sea Warrior and NTMPS programs.
• Prepares and works with real-world datasets for analysis. • Applies data science and predictive analytics tools and methods to analyze data, identify anomalies and provide reports. • Assists in designing and developing training materials and provides user training at various locations. • Develops simple to moderate ad hoc queries with assistance as required. • Assists customers in entering completion records for various courses of instruction. • Identifies/collects required data, interprets and analyzes data, develops and evaluates alternatives and prepares appropriate documentation to support knowledge management. • Collaborates with team members to conduct detailed testing of NTMPS applications, data base loads, identify/clarify data needs, performs data mapping, evaluates data quality and resolves issues found utilizing expertise with Microsoft Office applications. • Responds to questions and issues identified by NTMPS account holders including, but not limited to, "what-if" exercises related to potential fleet reorganizations and reductions as well as trouble reports and feedback with existing software. • Provides a weekly report to the NTMPS Pensacola office documenting tasking and work accomplishments. • Conducts detailed reviews of Type Commander training requirements related reports as requested by various fleet units and report findings to appropriate unit, ISIC and Type Commanders.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
3 years of data analysis, statistical analysis, problem solving, and business process improvement experience
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
DoD Interim Secret is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or Physical Science
