GDIT is seeking a Contracts Administrator Associate (Intern) in Herndon, VA
As a Contract Administration Intern you will actively support the daily operation of the Contracts Department of the GDIT Federal Civilian Division. This experience will help you learn facets of GDIT's Contract Management functional role and responsibility in the organization. Gain direct work experience and exposure by working directly with the Federal Civilian Contract Management professionals, program and other functional teams. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Support Contract Staff in the contract administration process.
Ensure compliance of contract file documentation.
Assist with record retention.
Assist with audit preparation.
Support new business proposal activities and perform special projects as required.
Assist with the annual internal Organization Conflict of Interest Audits.
Assist in contract closeout by routing the spreadsheet/checklist for the closeouts, locating documentation as needed.
Assist in maintaining the Contract Value/Funds Tracker.
Be a team player and develop strong working relationships with team mates and internal customers.
Requires 1-2 years' experience. Prior work experience in a business office environment, specifically government contracting a plus. Preference for candidates considering a career in contracts, subcontracts and/or procurement.
Ability to process information to make sound business recommendations for management decisions.
