As the TSS Operations Portfolio Leader for Technology Shared Services (TSS), you will hold both the leadership and management roles overseeing project management and transition office, business operations, and business process management teams. In addition, this position supports the organizational leadership team in overseeing, managing and using the entire life cycle of initiatives to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives; acts as the primary resource for senior executives for communications, and for reporting the state and performance of initiatives within the operations portfolio; identifies, prioritizes and coordinates project and program resources engaged with all or many of the initiatives within the project portfolio.Primary Responsibilities and Activities
Define and develop a portfolio management structure including process, heath-check reviews, frame works and metrics. This includes:
Demand management and strategic alignment of projects and programs
Portfolio categories and criteria
Evaluation, selection and prioritization
Execution, tracking and measuring the achieved results
Create rules of engagement for proposals, program transition or startup, program execution and program closure.
Create governance structure to align portfolio to organization polices, procedures and standards. practices.
Conduct regular portfolio reviews with senior business and IT executives. Expected outcome is continuous improvement on portfolio performance..
Lead reviews and health checks of troubled programs or Provide corrective action plan and potentially drive to resolution.
Resolve organizational issues and provide oversight to resolution.
Ensure and balance the availability of the required skills and competencies across project and program teams within the project portfolio, as mandated and resourced by leadership.
Direct the development and maintenance of communications and reporting about the project portfolios, their contents and the performance of individual initiatives to stakeholder and governance council(s), the steering committee and senior executives.
Direct the creation and maintenance of the required portfolio documentation and artifacts.
Support and advise executives on actions required to balance the portfolio of existing assets and services.
Required Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experienceRequired Experience:
Fifteen or more years of experience in IT and business/industry
Seven to 5 years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs
Demonstrated experience in managing “upward” among senior leadership
Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the portfolio objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with business strategy.
A high degree of astuteness and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to overcome obstacles and achieve portfolio success.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and “sell” the portfolio goals and objectives to the business and to technical leadership.
Strong business acumen, including industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation, and how other organizations are using them to drive digital business.
A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of business and technical audiences, as well as temperaments and personalities.
Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
Excellent analytical, conceptual strategic planning and execution skills.
Ability to develop portfolios and deliver them against business and resource constraints.
Familiarity with the use of reporting tools to monitor portfolio activities and analyze portfolio performance.

The likely salary range for this position is $140,000 - $210,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
