At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Mission Cloud Engineer supporting the customer, you will develop and maintain high visibility cloud-based IT systems. In this role, a typical day will include:
Providing support for development in or transition to the cloud, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Managing system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Requirements are, but not limited to: • Demonstrated Linux (CentOS) skills • Demonstrated shell scripting (bash, sh, etc.) • Demonstrated AWS services (EC2s, S3, KMS, Cloud formation, VPC) • Demonstrated experience with DevOps Tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Puppet) • Demonstrated experience with Apache Tomcat and HTTPD • Strong troubleshooting skills, including OS and networking • Demonstrated experience writing technical documentation and presentations • Strong written and oral skills • Comfortable presenting to all levels of expertise Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Demonstrated experience with monitoring/metrics collection (Icinga, Prometheus) • Demonstrated configuration and management of Cisco Devices (ASA, Switches) • Demonstrated skills with RDS (Oracle, MySQL) • Demonstrated Windows Server (2012, 2016) knowledge • Demonstrated development using Capistrano
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 15 years related experience.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
