The core hours are 7:00 – 4:00 or as approved by the customer.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Customer Services and Information Technology Officer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to execute multi-faced programs that support dynamic mission sets. In this role, a typical day will include:
Serves as Primary Laptop Subject Matter Expert for the customer
Responsible for maintenance of laptops to include updating and installing software; inventorying of laptops and preparing laptops to loan to customers
Resolving technical problems and answering queries by telephone or self-service that involve computer hardware, software, network, systems/application access, and telecommunications systems
Providing basic user training in support of off-the-shelf applications and office products
Performing remote desktop triage and system repair using remote tools
Maintaining and updating records and tracking databases
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 2 years related experience or relevant combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of multiple desktop programs, experience with the following: TCP/IP and general networking issues, virus scanning services, servers, printers, peripheral, data transfer services, ticketing systems
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Troubleshoots system hardware and software specific issues.

Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
Independently ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience
