Support the identification, qualification and pursuit of business opportunities within DHS, FEMA and related markets. You must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of mission priorities as well as key relationships within the respective agencies.

The candidate possesses a deep understanding of DHS and FEMA as well as key relationships within those agencies, and leverages this knowledge to develop customer and partner relationships, provide thought leadership in the marketplace and support the development and execution of GDIT go-to-market account plans. The position will work closely with Business Development, Capture, Proposal and Account Teams
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership support across the new business capture lifecycle - from opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development through the post submission phases of the Business Capture Process.
Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to formulate, communicate and implement an integrated business development and capture strategy that provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for the award
Develop and implement campaign plans and strategies, maintain a firm comprehension of the customer's requirements, understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors and develop/implement winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses
Support the development of value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.
Support proposal activities to include RFP, RFQ, Task Order or RFI responses.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a technical or business related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.
12-15 years of related marketing and business development experience
15 years related IT, communications, and policy experience with DHS, FEMA and related agencies
10+ years of experience in the federal market with a demonstrable track record of engagement and success within DHS and FEMA supporting IT, communications, and continuity policy and planning
Successful track record advancing new business development strategies and information technology solutions
Proven ability to build relationships and lead through influence at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Active engagement as a visible thought leader in the relevant customer eco-system(s).
Results orientation with sense of urgency;
Able to develop actionable plans by leveraging market and customer knowledge;
Highly collaborative leader that can lead teams and also contribute effectively as a team member or individual contributor.
