GDIT is searching for the ideal candidate to join our team as a Project Manager. The individual will be responsible for the coordination of a m form a comprehensive assessment of the current state of endpoint management. The assessment would then recommend a plan of action to develop a consolidated endpoint management platform and toolset to meet security and operational requirements.

The position is for full time employment with our company and works normal business hours onsite at NIH on Rock Spring Rd in Bethesda, MD.  Opportunity to telework will be considered once established and with manager approval.

Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Engage with different organizations and assist with the research, analysis, and provide the necessary guidance to develop a formal endpoint management recommendation to the NIH customer.
  • The candidate will work with customers to understand key business priorities and lead technical exchange meetings, enabling the customer to meet their mission, business and system priorities.
  • Coordinate customer requirements to aid in the creation of a modern endpoint management strategy
  • Understand the business context and how to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable implementation
  • Oversee and coordinate the review of all business process and system-level changes as part of service improvement
  • Ensure acquired or developed systems are consistent with organization’s cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Leverage currently deployed security utilities to meet operational requirements and to reduce the duplication of services
  • Coordinate and document a review of endpoint management products and best practices (A/V, MDM, security agents)
  • Evaluate existing processes and solutions that are in place
  • Provide input to implementation plans and standard operating procedures.
  • Work with other service managers and product owners to balance and prioritize services to meet overall customer requirements, constraints, and objectives.
  • Research and document industry-standard and organizationally accepted analysis principles and methods.
  • Captures and integrates essential system capabilities or business functions 

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information, Science, Business, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 5 - 8 years of Systems Administration experience in large complex environments
  • 5 - 8 years of Technology Implementation
  • Three years of management experience
  • Experience in endpoint management systems and technologies (BigFix, Altiris, SCCM, etc)
  • Experience in Configuration Management SOP creation
  • Experience with macOS and Windows MDM technologies (JAMF, Intune, Airwatch, etc.)
  • Experience in solution architecture
  • System implementation experience required, including development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise environment systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with a short deadline
  • Strong Technical Project Management
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Mentor stakeholders where applicable
