We are looking for a Chief Architect to join our team. You will support an essential modernization program for a critically important federal healthcare client.  This role requires an energetic individual who wants to enhance their professional career in a fast-paced federal environment. This role requires a leader who can build and maintain the customer’s enterprise architecture to drive consolidation of legacy systems into a modern, efficient, and secure architecture that utilizes open-source technologies, CI/CD, APIs, and BPM/workflow capabilities to reduce costs, improve security and streamline operations.

Qualifications:

  • A BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology)
  • Have an existing or the ability to obtain a clearance
  • This position requires a minimum of 7 years progressive experience managing/leading IT projects and programs, including experience with enterprise architecture, enterprise IT development and/or digital transformation initiatives for a federal agency
  • Experience leading the design and integration of enterprise-level technical solutions
  • Experience with BPM tools including Appian, Pega, Camunda or similar
  • Experience with containerization including Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, EKS or similar
  • Expertise in DevSecOps automation, and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD), Lean, and Agile Scrum/Kanban development techniques, best practices and tools
  • Experience with cloud-native software architecture frameworks - including Open-Source and Commercial distributions (OCI-compliant containerized microservices, REST API, Kubernetes deployment and orchestration) and Cloud-based services (AWS Lambda, EKS, Azure DevOps, AKS)
  • In-depth understanding of application, middleware, data management, cyber, enterprise IT, data center and cloud architectures
  • One or more technical certifications in the areas of cloud, security, agile, SDLC or similar.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the customer’s enterprise architecture to drive consolidation of legacy systems into a modern, efficient, and secure architecture that utilizes open-source technologies, CI/CD, APIs, and BPM/workflow capabilities to reduce costs and improve security.
  • Modernize IT systems to enhance security, usability, and accessibility to meet the business, regulatory and compliance requirements of the CBER community
  • Create reference architectures and implementation recommendations for the purpose of proving solutions, mentoring, and educating teams.
  • Provide technical guidance in support of system enhancements, modernization, operations, and similar business initiatives.
  • Develop input for technical presentations concerning technical needs, alternative solutions, system users, and level of effort estimates.
  • Create, publish, and manage reports, diagrams, and charts and other artifacts as needed to convey EA findings and recommendations (e.g., strategy maps, organization charts, score cards, and flow charts)
  • Design, build and maintain the customer’s EA repository to support both the current and future state architectures
  • Participates in the analysis, evaluation, and development of enterprise technology roadmaps to ensure EA objectives are consistent with the customer’s long-term business objectives
