The Principal Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer

  • Performs advanced engineering work concerned with the design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses
  • Analyzes customer requirements and develops technical solutions to complex problems
  • Maintains equipment and/or systems integrity while ensuring compliance with policies
  • Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Provides advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced engineering personnel
  • May serve as a team or task leader

EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate must have:

  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in engineering, developing, designing, integrating, maintaining and testing Navy/Joint warfighting systems.
  • Seven (7) years of experience directly related to the management of tasks and programs related to surface Navy EW systems

Additionally, the successful candidate must have experience in the following areas:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and control research or engineering activities for Navy systems utilizing system engineering processes.
  • Solving complex technical problems in the design, development, and system integration cycle, Test and Evaluation, power and cooling solutions, command and control architectures,
  • digital and analog systems, signal generation related to environment, Signal analysis, processing, and testing, Radar Systems Engineering Principles, and control systems.
  • Developing, designing, integrating, maintaining and testing Electronic Warfare Navy/Marine Corp systems.
  • Ship installation and certification processes.
  • System variants of the AN/SLQ-32 (V).
  • Modeling and Simulation of related threats, EW systems, and engagement methodologies/kill chains.
  • Electronic Sensing, Electronic Attack, Radar and Communications jamming, anti-jamming techniques, electronic masking, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Electro-Magnetic
  • Spectrum Operations related to current and future EW systems and operations for the Navy.

It is desired that the successful candidate also have experience with Agile methodology: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
