At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:
Maintaining good communication with the team
Support will include HR functions, training and education, career management, budgetary planning/execution, policy guidance and logistics
Provides core logistics services to a large contingency of security office components who are without embedded support
Candidate will report to the office’s logistics management and work independently as part of a small team (6) at a single worksite to resolve requirements such as accountable property, procurements, ad-hoc action items and other core fundamental logistics services to ensure the functionality and quality of service across all security office components
Candidate will work standard core hours, M-F with little to no expectation of extended or weekend hours
Candidate may be required to handle a large volume of work and will seek prioritization accordingly as requirements are dictated per security office strategic objectives
Work independently in collaboration with the leader of the security office logistics and across a dynamic environment to provide direct logistics support to several security office components
Candidate will be expected to effectively communicate with mission partners both in person and via written channels
Candidate work will be very Customer focused, but will need to utilize network within security and logistics groups to coordinate requirements
Travel to other buildings/locations within the Washington Metro Area is moderate with sponsor-owned vehicle(s) available
Candidate, with minimal guidance will be required to place and track procurement requests through all phases of the purchasing lifecycle and partner with Customer procurement entities
With guidance will monitor incoming requests and proactively provide Customers with status of current requests
As needed, candidate will ship/move material through standard sponsor mechanisms
Candidate will be the focal point for accountable property and partner with dispersed office logistics to facilitate requirements
Candidate will run monthly requests to complete 10% monthly inventories and reconcile any discrepancies with current responsible officers
Candidate will also be responsible for training new responsible officers on how to use sponsor asset tracking system and manage their property
Candidate will be responsible for the management, upkeep, and lease renewal of three sponsor-owned vehicles leased through the general services office
Candidate will be expected to provide proactive customer updates and request help as needed
Candidate will also be expected to review OS billing metrics to ensure appropriate charges for equipment acquired for DVV or other sources and provide reporting to management
Strongly desired that candidate be well versed with sponsor asset tracking system, Service Now for data, voice and video requests and sponsor internal shipment tracking system
Previous experience with Microsoft Office including basic proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as intermediate proficiency with Outlook
