GDIT is currently seeking a Senior Manager level Proposal Strategist to work with our Capture and Proposal teams to design compelling proposal responses. This unique position requires the ability to design and develop the structure of proposal artifacts to best articulate GDIT’s differentiated solution while ensuring compliance. The induvial who accepts this position will help evolve our proposal response process and positively impact GDIT’s ability to win.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Lead the design and development of the technical response to complex, voluminous proposals for Enterprise, multi-billion dollar and other large opportunities in collaboration with the proposal manager, capture manager and a team of experts in diverse areas.
Interact effectively, both verbally and in writing, with senior leadership and staff including the capture manager, proposal manager, program/project manager, line leadership, and others throughout the capture and proposal development process.
Work with the capture and proposal teams to develop a proposal strategy that results in a high quality, compliant and compelling proposal that will score high have the optimal win probability.
Work with the capture manager and the proposal team to design and iterate storyboards, proposal mock-ups and iterations of the proposal through a final version for submission to the Government.
Effectively communicate with GDIT leadership as required including senior leadership during reviews and presentations to GDIT leadership about the proposal effort.
Work under pressure -- This is a highly collaborative position that requires ability to work under pressure and under challenging deadlines of proposals that have GDIT leadership visibility.
For oral presentations required by the RFP, collaborate with team to establish clear, relevant messages throughout the presentation.
Candidates must have a bachelors degree plus five (5) years minimum related industry experience in government contracting environments (in lieu of degree, candidates must have nine (9) years of experience).
Extensive experience working on proposals, including very large enterprise deals ($500M+)
Fluency in Government contracting terminology and ability to shred an RFP
Demonstrated experience in architecting proposals (role could be performed under a different “title”—like capture manager, proposal manager, solution architect)
Possess strong time management and prioritization skills, strong English language skills, excellent attention to detail, and good judgement in decision-making.
Strongly prefer 8+ years of broad proposal experience mostly with large, complex opportunities often requiring hardware/software solutions in addition to technical approach and other proposal volumes.
Relevant experience outside of proposal development (e.g., project management, solutions architect, capture management, account management) that enriches proposal development capabilities
**Position is fully remote until COVID restrictions are lifted here at GDIT. Once restrictions are lifted, the role can remain fully remote, but might require periodic visits to our Fairview Park location as needed.”
