GDIT is looking for a Senior Training Specialist who can develop advanced technological and training ideas and guides their development into a final product.
Provides expert knowledge for the planning and designing of instructional methods and materials.
Provides expert knowledge and innovative solutions to identify training needs and priorities by working with business leaders and critical stakeholders
Provides expert knowledge and guidance on the structure and improvements of the on-site and/or in-house training classes, seminars, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and discussion groups for customers and/or employees.
Provides expert knowledge and innovative solutions for the delivery of complex training programs.
Maintains current knowledge of progressive and advancing training trends and technology.
May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in training.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in with but not limited to the following areas:
Provide support and maintain a scalable training program to enhance the skills of the customer workforce as they relate to the use of IT software and hardware associated with the customer’s current and future computing environments.
Develop and maintain a Program Training Plan and Schedule.
Develop new or update existing curriculum for all training, including instructor-led, face-to-face classroom training or web/computer-based training. Face-to-face training shall be conducted at the customer’s headquarters in Washington, DC.
Deploy web/computer-based training to the Electronic Learning Environment.
Generate and schedule automated alerts to customer stakeholders informing of upcoming trainings, deadlines, instructions, availability and role-based requirements.
Develop and implement automated workflow for training notifications (e.g., nearing due date, overdue, completions, etc.)
Gather and report participant attendance and feedback for all training classes and training materials.
Manage the IT Training internal website, including posting training materials, updating the training calendar, ensuring all links to internal and external sites are kept up to date.
Refresh training site design and content on an annual basis.
Experience with 508 Compliance training materials (training books/packets that contain the information covered in the classes), modules, and curriculum for requisite components of the customer’s IT Environment.
Conduct Section 508 Compliance training for requisite components of the customer’s IT Environment. This includes providing ongoing training / training materials throughout the year
Experience training through Webex, Skype and other online learning tools.
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Provide tailored role-based training, including, but not limited to: End User Training, System Administration Training and Train-the-Trainer Training
Tailor training to different audiences, including, but not limited to: Executive Stakeholders, Managers, IT Staff, General Public
Maintain all technology components of the Electronic Learning Environment and shall manage technical incidents related to training technology through the IT Service Desk.
