At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans for assigned projects
  • Scheduling and meeting with technical staff regularly
  • Reporting status updates (including risks) to upper management
  • Organize data to represent key measures of progress and performance for presentation to multiple levels of the Organization. 
  • Assist with developing and improving processes. 
  • Creating templates for documentation of projects, reports, onboarding, etc.
  • Assist in improving control of production operations and project activities
  • Develop and prepare appropriate metrics reports for operational and project activities for internal management and control, and for higher management information


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • IT Professional/Senior  
  • Experienced Office Manager or managing/tracking projects – Communications Specialist  
  • Strong MS Office skills a MUST (MS PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word); Tech Writer skillset a plus 
  • Need strong ability to construct creative & professional ELT PowerPoint presentations and CIO Level communications 
  • Maintain team SharePoint site with pertinent and timely information regarding updates of Projects, the team activities, etc. 
  • Assist management with attendance of ELT meetings on behalf of executive for note taking/project tracking to support/provide ELT updates 
  • Ability to communicate with highly technical staff to understand project enough to report and assist with documenting SOPs, technical evaluations, and designs

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.  We can only accept Green Card Holders or US Citizens for this program.
