Enterprise IT Operations ManagerDoral, FLThe role of the Enterprise IT Operations Manager is to plan, organize, and manage geographically based technical staff and the lead execution of daily IT operations for the entire SOUTHCOM IT Enterprise and ensure it is able to provide stable and available systems/services delivered by the organization’s IT and cyber technology infrastructure.This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.Manage all teams in support of change management activities and to help resolve tier 3 hardware and software problems and coordinate for vendor tier 4 support.SCOPE OF ROLE: Manages a medium to large team of multiple technical disciplined individuals.Direct reports are exempt and often include other people managers.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement short-mid-long-term service improvement plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
  • Establish service level agreements. 
  • Work with vendors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.
  • Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
Operational Management
  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, and so on.
  • Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure. Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
  • Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
  • Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
CLEARANCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Interim SECRET clearance to start, ability to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance and SCI access.
  • Highly desired to have bachelor's or higher degree in the field of information systems management, computer science or other relevant field of study. Will consider equivalent work experience if no four year or more degree.
  • Required to have or quickly obtain IAM-III DoD 8570 Certification such as CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO.
  • Desired six or more years experience managing and delivering infrastructure operational excellence of large geographically dispersed teams.
  • Desired three or more years of experience with DoD Information Assurance Policy and Guidelines (if you have CISM/CISSP, this generally meets this requirement).
  • Desired to have broad knowledge of service and virtualized application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
