GDIT is seeking an Information Network and Security Monitoring Engineer to join our BCRC client. This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Support Security in the System Development Lifecycle.
  • Audit Firewall configurations using AlgoSec
  • Respond to security alerts from Security Operations Center or real-time system alerts. Conduct periodic reviews of system audit logs, physical and logical access, and other periodic security controls.
  • Review network architecture for security.
  • Support responses to CMS Acceptable Risk Safeguards
  • Support major documents such as Risk Assessments, Contingency Plans, and Systems Security Plans.
  • Support external IT and Security audits including Penetration tests
  • Research, evaluate, and deploy new security products, including Security Impact Assessments
  • Evaluate change tickets for security implications. Provide support to IT on appropriate security control implementation
  • Incident Response Team member

This is a full-time telecommute position. 15% travel to the client's site in NYC required. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field - or equivalent experience
  • Information Security certifications are a plus.

REQUIRED:

  • 7+ years of experience in Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), web, Active Directory, network devices, UNIX, Linux, Windows, Citrix, and VMware.
  • Vulnerability Assessment
  • Configuration Management
  • Familiar with security architectures including firewall concepts, routers proxies, load balancers, scanners, VPN, and IDS
  • Strong knowledge of Information Security and Privacy concepts and principles
