Perform analytical tasks supporting the SSTD program involving new construction ships. Generate and update Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) using Microsoft Project at the program and task level for Senior Management.
Develop plans, including budgets and schedules, and monitor tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for the SSTD program. Track and coordinate the progress of current tasking including materials, shipping, delivery and installation within budget and schedule. Generate and updated POAMs using Microsoft Project.
Analyze technical drawings for cost efficient part refurbishments and fabrications for SSTD. Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Track and coordinate risk and risk mitigation.
Interact regularly with customers and industry representatives. Maintain communications with stakeholders at different levels across the organization including external stakeholders and vendors.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management preferred and 5+ years of experience
PMP desired, but not required
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; go onboard Navy ships and climb ladders. Must be proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc. Must possess good organizational and communication skills, have a positive attitude, be team oriented and a good problem solver. Must have the ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed. Candidate will be required to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel during the interview.
