Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. Sets up administrator and service accounts. Maintains system documentation Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May program in an administrative language. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. Provides advice and training to end-users. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.
Requires comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support. Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software. Professional Certification(s) are required Baseline Certification: CompTIA Security+ CEIATII Computing Environment Certification: Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a certificate or certification meeting evolving computing environment requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership – Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required.
Analyst Tasks – Responsible for performing system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment consisting of military simulations systems. Perform additional duties as determined by the E2E Systems Engineer.
Security Requirements - Performs physical security, classified information security, and information assurance security tasks in order to safeguard classified information/equipment and high value government purchased and owned equipment and software. Ensures that data security, including data retrieval, transmission, and storage is conducted IAW applicable government standards.

Education/Experience Requirements: 5+ Years, BA/BS
DoD Certification and Training Requirements: As a condition of initial and continuing employment, obtains and maintains required certifications.

Baseline Certification: Security + CE
Computing Environment Certification: Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10
Mandatory Training / Local Training Plan: Complies with all DoD, Army, and company training requirements IAW Government policy, DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Improvement Program, Army Regulation, and company and site policy.
