The Diplomatic Security Armored Vehicle (AV) Program maintains the Department of State’s domestic armored vehicle fleet with a focus on replacing transparent armor and performing scheduled/unscheduled security-related maintenance.  The AV program also assists with the shipping of armored vehicles as well as maintaining the armored vehicle contingency fleet. AV Shop Supervisor coordinates manpower, maintenance schedules, and keeps records of all work performed in the AV shop. The AV shop supervisor is responsible for all aspects of maintenance performed in the AV Shop.

1.       Performs supervisory duties (timesheets, performance reviews) for domestic technicians.

2.       Directs workload and output for domestic technician and non-deployed traveling technicians in the AV Shop.

3.       Utilizes programs to create, track, and manage work orders being assigned to the AV shop technicians.

4.       Schedules daily workload tasks including maintenance, inspections, test drives, and any other manpower driven tasks performed in the AV maintenance shop.

5.       Tracks all work being performed and creates reports to provide to the customer.

6.       Maintains the AV Shop’s hazardous material program, inventory of shop supplies, and disposal of used parts.

7.       Controls the inventory of all tools used by the AV technicians.

8.       Acts as a personnel manager to oversee the domestic shop operations team.

9.       Builds weekly schedules for all maintenance and shipping items run through the domestic shop.

10.    Maintains domestic shop operations standard operating procedures.

11.    Provides expert input to AV Program on end-user inquiries and Program initiatives.

Qualifications

1.       BA/BS and minimum of five years of experience or the equivalent combination of education/training and/or experience/military training.

2.       Mechanical aptitude. 

3.       Personnel Management experience

4.       Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

5.       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and mobile applications.
