Training Supervisor

Our work depends on Training Supervisor joining our team to GDIT is looking for a Senior Training specialist with a background in curriculum development and project management, to support our IBD-SS contract in Huntsville Alabama. The role is an integral member of our Systems Engineering team and will be responsible for developing end to end curriculum for the Integrated Base Defense Systems under the PM Force Protection Systems portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all facets of training and curriculum development with strong leanings toward eLearning and distance learning and a working knowledge of Systems Engineering and Project Management. This position will also have the responsibility of managing and driving the Engineering Change Proposal project schedule and leading CAD and systems engineers in the completion of project tasks and deliverables to the customer.
• Supervises the development, organization, and delivery of training and educational programs for customer personnel.
• Development, delivery, assessment, and revision of training content and materials.
• Performs as the lead instructional and curriculum designer.
• Provides one-on-one coaching to trainers and engineers to aid in the development of knowledge and skills needed.
• Oversees the planning, researching, development, evaluation, and revising of IBD-SS curriculum for Field Service Engineers using both classroom and remote delivery.
• Assists in the supervision of engineering team to complete project tasks and deliverables to the customer.
• Leads and support special projects and other work as assigned by the Systems Engineering manager.
• Develops, reviews, and revises core curriculum and makes recommendations of learning objectives, course content, methodology, support material design, evaluation methods, editing and production and other related aspects of curriculum development.
• Designs Lesson plans, Learning and course objectives, Instructor guides, student guides and interactive multi-media materials.
• Determines the need for curriculum changes and updates lessons, readings, tests and rubrics accordingly.
• Leads course development and makes major modifications as required to enhance the curriculum Assists the Systems Engineering manager with developing and maintaining in-house training schedule and monthly train-the -trainer sessions.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in classroom instructional delivery, training, and presentation.
• Possess superb organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute work with little or no supervision.
• Skilled in technical, electronic, and mechanical drawings with ability to read engineering schematics and blueprints.
• A familiarization with basic networking, switches, routers and servers.
• Familiar with various wiring, cabling, and transmission mediums to include COAX, Fiber, Ethernet, and RF transceivers.
• Deep-seated knowledge in computer software and authoring applications including but not limited to Office 365 (All applications), Acrobat Pro, databases, Jira, Confluence and MS SharePoint.
• Ability to maintain sensitive files and documents and with a high level of confidentiality.
• Knowledge of the DoD training standards and modalities of instructional delivery.
• Familiar with all aspects of curriculum management to include Maintenance, Delivery, Testing, Course reviews and Training Project Plan development lifecycles.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation or through on-the-job training.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Education: BA/BS with 5+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
