At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
Nature of Work - General administrative support to include maintaining calendars for the group's chief and deputies, organizing travel and logistical support; preparing briefing books for panels and meetings, handling administrative check-in/check-out for arriving/departing officers, maintaining up-to-date phone cards and organizational charts, serving as timekeeper for the group, maintaining and interacting with units responsible for facilities, IT and supplies. The person may also serve as a back-up to the Department Front Office Administrative Assistant on an as-needed basis
Communication - Strong emphasis on continually facilitating situational awareness with senior managers, Group members, and the broader Department Support Team through both verbal and written communication
Specific Schedule Requirements - The group requires 1 FTE but will be flexible with potential part-time candidates that possess all stated requirements. There is opportunity for hours beyond 1,860 (1 FTE) on an as needed basis

Travel/TOY to Other Buildings/Locations - None anticipated. All work will be performed at HQS.
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Core hours are between 9am-3pm but flexible scheduling is available and encouraged
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
