HOW Laboratory Coordinator WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Analyze and support the planning and development of schedules, laboratory/equipment configuration and utilization.
  • Analyze and support the planning for pre-com and replacement officer and enlisted personnel training.
  • Attend meetings at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) and Naval Ship Weapons Systems Engineering Station (NSWSES) to ensure proper scheduling of equipment to meet Surface Combat Systems Training Command’s training mission requirements.
  •  Support the planning and development of schedules across the Future Year Defense Plan.
  • Submit laboratory/equipment configuration and SCSC personnel utilization requests on behalf of SCSTC Detachment Wallops Island (SCSTCDWI) Technical Directorate for 3-6 months by utilizing the SCSC AEGIS and SSDS Test Resource Management System (TRMS) web-based application.
  • Serve as a member of the SCSC scheduling/ projection working group representing SCSTCDWI.
  • attend meetings with the engineering and computer systems management personnel at SCSC, SCSC Projects, Ship Self-Defense Facility (SSDF), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWCPHD), and NSWSES to ensure proper scheduling of equipment to meet SCSTC training requirements.
  • Resolve any equipment and/or laboratory conflicts through negotiation with all involved parties.
  • Assist the CSCSWI TD with problem control during pre-com and in-service Combat Information Center Team Training (CICTT) at Aegis and SSDS facilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • 7 years’ experience
  • Detailed technical knowledge of the U.S. Surface Combatant platform and associated warfighter characteristics and capabilities for those platforms specifically to include Cruiser and Destroyer configurations in use by deployed fleets.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • An in-depth understanding of the interrelationship between U.S. Surface Combatant configurations, fleet readiness requirements, and land based test sites including training commands.
