GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer that will develop, enhance, and maintain a solution to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration. and management tasks, leveraging COTS products and a suite of software customizations, tools, and automated playbooks.


  • Determine guidelines and standards for deploying cloud agnostic infrastructure, system, and application security requirements, and developing security solutions.
  • Participate in and/or provide technical leadership for Agile/Scrum DevSecOps teams to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and external development teams to build and configure high performing, scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Build and configure delivery environments supporting CI/CD tools using an Agile delivery methodology. 

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or equivalent IT experience
  • 5+ years of overall IT experience 
  • Minimum 3 Years experience with the following:
    • Deploying and monitoring infrastructure and applications on at least one cloud platform (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP).
    • Usage of enterprise code repository (CodeCommit, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, etc.) in a team setting, including specific experience with branching, merging, and pushing one’s own code changes to a repository.
    • Development of scripts in at least one of: Linux command-line interface (Bash), Windows PowerShell, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, NodeJS.
    • Troubleshooting software systems involving multiple servers/systems, tools, and complex software-defined networks. 
  • Have effective verbal and written communication with peers and clients.
  • Ability to work in a geographically distributed, open, and collaborative team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented, critical thinker, possess excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Desire for continuous improvement and a commitment to best practices.
  • US Citizenship is required due to ability to get a US Secret Clearanc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing scalable cloud-based environments and systems; service-oriented architectures; deploying resilient, scalable, high-throughput systems that process large amounts of data.
  • Experience using monitoring and logging tools to diagnose failure modes.
  • Experience using Ansible Tower, Puppet, Morpheus Cloud Management Platform, CloudBolt, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Vagrant, Vault, Packer.
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, ECS)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation.
  • Security compliance & certification programs (NIST, FedRAMP, PCI, HIPAA, SOX).
