Researches designs develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software


The full-time software developer position requires the ability to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug complex software applications at the enterprise level. The candidate must be passionate about programming, passionate about quality, and enjoys communicating and working with end-users. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. The duration of this requirement would be for 2 years with the option to extend as customer needs dictate.

Primary Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Support a team in maintaining and enhancing mission specific applications.
  • Develop new applications that characterize and route network traffic.
  • Tracking highly technical data on a regular basis and working closely with team members to retain the information for analytical/troubleshooting efforts
  • Communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet the team goals.
  • Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities of the system.
  • Work with development teams in an agile context as it relates to software development

Required and Preferred Skills and Qualifications:


  • 7 or more years of experience as a key software developer
  • In-depth experience developing applications in an object-oriented language
  • Strong understanding of the Linux and Windows operating systems and development on those platforms
  • Understanding of internet protocols and networking technologies using by Internet Service Providers to provision their networks, including MPLS and Ethernet VLAN
  • Experience deploying applications in a cloud-based environment
  • A bachelor’s degree computer science, software engineering, IT or related field


  • Experience with Oracle databases and ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of data science methodologies or python scripting
