Job Description

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Software Tester at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Here, your work will have meaning and impact as you deliver your best every day.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Software Tester supporting the customer, you will be trusted to solve complex IT issues while delivering outstanding customer service.


  • Create regression and automation tests against APIs.
  • Work autonomously at times and collaborate with the balance of the development team as needed.
  • Perform both automated and manual testing of newly developed web based software as well as regression testing on legacy software.
  • Responsible for documenting any bugs or deficiencies found during testing.
  • Follow existing test cases and create new test cases to support newly created software and APIs.
  • Experience testing APIs and doing back end testing as well as demonstrated proficiency in UI testing.
  • Experience with Accessibility Standards and Tools to ensure the software is compliant with the customer’s accessibility standards.
  • Responsible for performing accessibility testing, rating the applications and writing up the documentation to resolve any known issues.


  • Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to write thorough test procedures
  • Demonstrated experience with the creation, debugging, execution and maintenance of automated test scripts using Selenium and Javascript
  • Demonstrated experience with organizing automated test scripts in to to test suites
  • Demonstrated experience with using csv files for parameterized testing
  • Experience testing Linux applications
  • Experience with back end testing• Experience testing APIs
  • Submitting request commands from the command line or using a tool
  • Submitting thousands of records to an API and recording responses received• Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Working with large collections of data sets• On the job experience using Selenium
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with JMeter
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with at least one of the following development languages: Java, Python, Bash, Curl, XML
  • Experience with a developer IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ
  • Experience testing in AWS environment
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
