Job Description

Windows System Lead

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Windows System Lead supporting Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Requirements:

  • SCCM Application Deployment, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Updates Deployment, OS Deployment and Reporting.
  • Package, test, maintain and monitor applications and their operating systems, including coordinating the installation of the applications.
  • Intune Device Enrollment, Software Deployment and Bulk Enrolment.
  • Responsible for creating deployment packages and custom applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Working with MST (Transforms), MSM (Merge Modules), MSP (Patches) on various applications.
  • Working on Hybrid (On Premise AD + AAD) environment for Windows 10 endpoint.
  • Working on SCCM/MECM and Intune Co-Management, Application Deployment, Software Updates and Patch Deployment.
  • Perform and coordinate routine upgrade and maintenance for SCCM/MECM infrastructure.
  • Perform SCCM/MECM client health checks and troubleshoot barriers to client health.
  • Deploying Windows 10 Golden Image using Task Sequence and Adding LOB Applications,
  • Drivers, Language packs and Applications to Task Sequence.
  • Package, test, maintain and monitor applications and their operating systems, including coordinating the installation of the applications.
  • Create application / packages, test collections, Deployment types and Deployments in SCCM 2012 to test the package behavior when pushed through SCCM.
  • Troubleshoot package functionality by changing various package parameters for making them functional.
  • Create custom Actions using Wise Scripts, VB scripts, to extend the Capabilities of MSI.
  • Support vulnerability management by having experience with reviewing Tenable reports and packing software packages to remediate vulnerability in a timely fashion.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge in installing and configuring Microsoft, Apple, and LINUX Operating Systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10 OS components and services, Microsoft Windows 2012 Server and Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy functionality
  • Skilled in configuration and maintenance of network and cloud storage devices and services.
  • Experience with common end user network applications and software distribution systems, such
  • Experience with system automation/configuration scripting including: VB/VBS, PowerShell
  • Understanding of system security compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Security+ certificate or willing to get one in 60 days
  • Must have five years or more of relevant Desktop Engineering experience
  • Must have five + years of design/engineering/architecture experience in end user computing technologies Including Systems Center Configuration Management (SCCM) and Microsoft deployment toolkit
  • Must have two + years of experience with O365 administration and experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Must have expertise in Configuration Management Engineering Support for Enterprise Wide
  • Customer hardware and software installation and maintenance of Servers/Systems and related equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and seven (7) years or more or relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
