At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Mission Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to understand the technical and functional design requirements related to Ruby on Rails. In this role, a typical day will include:
Designing, developing and testing mission applications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a technical discipline related to the specific skill, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Experience with developing systems in Ruby on Rails
Proficient in web technologies
Experience with database management (MySQL)
Experience with developing fulltext search applications (Elasticsearch)
Experience with designing, developing and testing mission applications
Experience with producing and consuming RESTful Web Services
Proficient with enhancing Open Source utilities to support high performance capabilities
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes
Experience with using version control software (Git/GitHub)
Experience with developing in a cloud based environment (AWS)
Advanced problem solving skills
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
