GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for aLogistician Senior at our Regional Support Center in SWA at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This position requires someone with a current and active Secret clearance. This position will be to lead and manage the day to day operation of the the overall supply chain management and requires an individual who is self-motivated, able to provide clear direction and able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the organization.
Note - Most logisticians work during regular business hours. When dealing with delivery problems or other logistical issues, they may work adjusted hours to ensure that operations stay on schedule.
SPECIAL REQUIRMENT: This position requires eligibility to obtain a Kuwait Work Permit. Effective January 1, 2021, Kuwait will not issue a Work Permit to an individual who is 60 years of age or older and has only a high school education.

Compile, submit, and analyze accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Responsible for overall performance of the logistical team.
Responsible for ensuring customer expectations are met, exceeded and managed as cost effectively as possible.
Responsible for inventory control to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred.
Responsible for all purchasing, shipping and transportation, inventory, warehousing, and delivery activities.
Oversee business relationships with suppliers and customers.
Oversee the movement of a range of goods, people, or supplies, from common consumer goods to military supplies.
Oversee the full order cycle.
Ensure company vehicles supplied are kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within country sponsor’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
Review proposals and performance specifications between suppliers/subcontractors and the organization.
Maintain strong attention to detail.
Maintain a positive attitude and lead a cohesive team.
Plan and manage logistics, inventory, transportation and customer services
Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure the delivery of products on time and to the right location
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
Carry out any additional duties requested by the RSC Team.
The Ideal Candidate must have:
Current and Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance.
BA or equivalent and 3 years related experience. (One year of military experience may be substituted for one year of academic requirements to fulfill the bachelors degree requirement. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.)
3 to 8 years’ proven leadership experience in an industrial or commercial logistics environment.
Experience in stock control and asset management.
Extensive knowledge and/or certifications in STAMIS, GCSS and automated procurement management systems.
Valid drivers license.
Ability to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent mathematical ability and ability to think critically.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to meet internal paperwork requirements.
Calmness under pressure.
