XVIII ABC MTCCS provides collective training and individual sustainment on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support small unit; Squads through Company, Medium unit; Battalion through Brigade and Large Unit; Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations. (ULO).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experienced Intelligence personnel who train and mentor core tradecraft learning requirements of the intelligence community:

  • Instructs intelligence professionals on tradecraft and other issues. 

  • Develops and/or refines courseware and curricula to meet customer training needs, establishing course content and objectives. 

  • Enhances student competencies in course-specific intelligence disciplines. 

  • Evaluates student performance and makes recommendations for improvement. 

  • May provide training at customer locations, as part of a mobile training team, or virtually. 

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

  • Perform basic operator functions on the following systems and how they are integrated into the intelligence collection cycle.

  • Maintain current knowledge of supporting information systems in accordance with user specified technical architectures, within reconfigurable battalion and brigade tactical operation center training environments, to support the conduct of digital battle command staff training and exercises - Warfighter Simulation, WARSIM Intelligence Model (WIM), Tactical Communications Support Processor (TCSP), Radiant Mercury (RM), Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) and One System Remote Video Terminal (OSRVT)

  • Performs software installations and upgrades to LINUX/Windows/Solaris operating systems and layered software packages and maintains them in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all systems are in compliance with policies and procedures for system design, programming, documentation and testing of systems. 

  • Designs and configures, documents, tests, creates, and/or modifies computer programs related to MS Windows XP, mySQL, MS Windows Servers, Redhat Linux  and SUN Solaris based laptop and desktop machine operating systems.

  • Design, analyze, test, and modify system hardware and software configurations to meet functional specifications based upon user requirements to support exercises and specific training events.

  • Tests new software and hardware compatibilities between the laptop and desktop operating systems as they are updated and released. 

  • Modifies computer systems and programs via script or program writing; analyzes any documents flaws in system configuration, software inconsistencies and implements corrections. 

  • Submit JIRA trouble shooting tickets thru NSC or TPO for any discrepancies in software and for future enhancements to the systems.

  • Ministers security procedures via deployment of Anti-Virus Software and Firewall technology to all training approved systems. 

  • Maintains audit logs for all servers and workstations. 

  • Demonstrate awareness of procedures for handling US Army classified software data and systems during classified training events in a controlled setting. Participates in special projects as required.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • The individual performing this requirement shall have experience within the Intelligence Warfighting Functional Area with background in one or more of the Intel systems associated with the IEWTPT system.

  • TSS operators shall have experience within the Intelligence Warfighting Functional Area and have actively worked within the Intelligence Community (IC) in one of these occupational specialties: IMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, HUMINT or All-Source Intelligence (preferred) with background in one or more of the Intel systems associated with the IEWTPT system: the Tactical (or Common) Ground Station, the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A){“family of systems”], Prophet, GuardRail Common Sensor (GRCS) or the Tactical Exploitation System (TES).

  • Contractors shall have a good working knowledge of all aspects of Military Intelligence functions/operations, ISR mission requirements, training, and planning, along with a knowledgeable understanding of connectivity and capabilities of all Military Intelligence Systems to include how, what they can, or will provide to the overall Intelligence illustration for the TUC to engage the battles.

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations relevant to the subject discipline.

  • Experience in classroom instruction and courseware development.

Education Required:

  • 5-8 years with a BS/BA Degree

Certification(s):

  • Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent

Security Clearance:

  • Requires a TS/SCI clearance

Additional:

  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

  • Specific certifications or military education/training may be required, depending on job assignment.

  • Candidate must have or be able to obtain a certificate or certification meeting evolving computing environment requirements.
