Job Description

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as an Operations Analyst Advisor at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable military strategy for the Air Force Community. The Military Operations Analyst compiles information to help make decisions regarding military strategy. Provide operational requirements support which provides advanced staff support to MQ-1/MQ-9 programs. Analysts may work in the field interpreting data about enemy operations, or they may evaluate broader military processes in consulting positions. Responsibilities will include researching and modeling military systems performance and operations; developing analytical methods and tools to facilitate analyses; executing trade studies; performing data analytics & statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings.

 

HOW AN OPERATIONS ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Provide technical and analytical support to the HQ ACC/A5IQ in the development and integration of requirements into existing MQ-1/MQ-9, and/or planned RPA.

  • Assist in planning documents and activities to include, but not limited to O&M, various acquisition activities, requirements development and developmental planning.   

  • Provide technical and analytical assistance including evaluating operational capabilities and addressing operational needs, as pertains existing MQ-1/MQ-9, and/or planned RPA.

  • Provide development, analysis, and process assistance in all Program Objective Memorandum and Amended Program Objective Memorandum activities. 

  • Assist in the development, validation, and coordination of varied requirements documents including AF Forms 1067, Initial Capabilities Documents (ICD), Capability Development Documents (CDD), Capability Production Documents (CPD), and Capstone Requirements Documents (CRD). 

  • Assist in investment strategy planning. 

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases.

  • Advise ACC/A5IQ on operational, logistics, and technical issues, transition strategy, project schedules, program plans, and other time-sensitive documents. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 

  • Ten (10) years of experience on USAF MAJCOM or higher-level staff (combination of active duty, government service and/or contractor). 

  • Five (5) years of staff experience (may be the combination of active duty, government service and/or contractor time) in operations, staff or working RPA programs or subject area of the A5IQ mission area. Experience as Pilot, sensor operator or Maintainer in A5IQ managed platform is desired and counts towards experience. 

  • Knowledge of Federal Budget and Resource Allocation process and procedures in support of the specific A5I mission area assigned for this particular task. 

  • Knowledge of the process and procedures in which ACC programs and budgets are developed, staffed and approved by Air Force 

  • Current knowledge and understanding of ACC test and training mission/systems. 

  • Familiarity with of CAM sustainment funding and processes.

  • Familiarity developing JCIDS and QRC documents and processes.

  • TS/SCI Clearance is required.
