The successful applicant will be responsible for, and coordinate and synchronize dependent technical integrations and software changes with VA system partners in support VA’s premier CRM application suite based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 delivered via the Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) Software as a Service (SaaS).  In this capacity, you will work with and advise both Program Manager, Release Train Engineer and DevOps development teams, and system architects on new integrations as well as modifications to existing integration to maintain data interchanges to support accurate veteran data presentation to CRM call center agents. As such, you will be responsible for interfacing with VA partner teams on a routine cadence to present new integration requests and modifications required to meet use cases defined by CRM stakeholders. You will also work closely with the Program Manager, Release Train Engineer, ScrumMasters, Team Leads and Architects to insure dependent partner system releases are highly coordinated and synchronized through to Production Release. While the Release Train Engineer is responsible for the functionality in each release, you will be responsible for communication, issue resolution and technical oversight of synchronized partner changes. This includes CRM application service interruptions that result from partner’s outages and uncoordinated releases. You will be responsible for reviewing and confirming any change requests and defect associated with a VA partner system. Your contributions and leadership will be vital to providing a positive, high quality user experience to our nation’s veterans. 

The overall program supports the sustainment, operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the D365-based systems and their integrations with the VA’s enterprise supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite utilized by 70,000 VA employees.  Previous experience working with MS Dynamics 365 / Dynamics CRM /Dynamics Customer Experience (CE) applications) is required.  Experience working in support of Federal, State, or Tribal Governments, or a health care client is highly desired.  The candidate will regularly interact with VA business stakeholders, VA Line of Business leadership and VA central office client stakeholders, including the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) staff, VA OIT leadership, and COR, and is expected to document and report any issues that arise. This position will be remote with limited support required in vendor facilities and/or a government site.

Responsibilities

  • Daily coordination of partner requests that affect the stability or functionality of the VA’s MS Dynamics 365 CRM application suite on the Azure platform;
  • Production support to include partner integrations where changes and maintenance activities must be coordinated with the current CRM application suite
  • Service interruptions triggered by our VA partners and follow-up until resolved
  • Creation of new partner requests that will include an Interface Control Document (ICD)
  • Review of partner release management to coordinate any dependent upgrades or modifications to the CRM application suite
  • Input into Agile Planning Increment (PI) and each Sprint cycle to synchronize changes to maintain maximum data interchange with our VA partners
  • Support to DevOps development teams test planning and execution;
  • Review and risk assessment of Change Requests;
  • Communication of any issues, problems, or risks to leadership with recommended solutions;
  • Meeting attendance with program personnel and VA stakeholders and support to reporting efforts;
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports and presentations for PMO and VA personnel, and;
  • Utilization of professional judgement, critical thinking skills and research to resolve issues affecting system performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field with at least 10+ years of experience
  • At least 5+ years of progressive experience supporting software development programs with task management, coordination and milestone management
  • At least 3+ years of experience tracking and providing status on critical program activities including obstacles, risks or defects
  • Must be able to interrupt functional and technical specifications to identify required business functionality and critical success factors for releasing applications into production
  • Good team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needs
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
  • US Citizenship or Green card holder
