GDIT has partnered with NASA to consolidate select Procurement, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology activities from the ten NASA Centers into a single shared services center located at Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi. Our work depends on a Procurement Assistant to support our team.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Remains current on new products and market conditions to ensure best procurement practices and strategies.
Processes requests for proposals RFP’s, RFQ’s, and bids for products and services of a complex nature that are typically high profile, non-routine, large-in-scope, or multi-year requests.
Process moderately complex to complex modifications to contracts based on previous award documentation and direction from government client.
Solicits vendor for new in-scope work through informal/formal Requests for Proposals (RFP). Receives, track progression and send proposals for Technical Evaluations from government client.
Analyzes proposals for compliance, prices and period of performance dates.
Attend weekly meetings with vendor and government client.
Maintains communication with government client and management during course of procurement action in order to ensure timely delivery in compliance with the requirements of the government schedule.
Assembles the complete modification package for review and submission to government client.
Post award activities (including, but not limited to) finalization of FPDS, Distribution of award documents, updating conformed contracts and inputting the award file in the official repository for documents.
High School diploma or G.E.D. and 4+ years of experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Experience in professional procurement, purchasing, contracts, preferably in a government agency, which includes the drafting of complex contracts, including provisions, and solicitation documents.
Possess a working knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
Exercise of independent judgement and discretion on matters of significance.
