​GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Field Engineer with TROJAN/PROPHET experience. NOTE: This position requires someone with a current and active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph, and TESA Accreditation. 

As the selected Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

Perform all aspects of troubleshooting and repair to service TROJAN V1, TROJAN T-LITE, TROJAN SPIRIT, PROPHET, PROPHET ENCHANCED, iDIRECT SAT MODEM and 5650 SAT MODEM systems.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Minimum of three years Electronics/Communications technical experience.
  • Experience with various electronic - communication system, data-networks to include Fiber-Optics/Networks, and VOIP.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and isolate hardware or software configuration malfunctions in multi-vendor integrated networked systems.
  • Experience in interpreting system drawings, electronic schematics, network drawings, engineering drawings.
  • Four years performing system functional analysis and failure data reporting, evaluate system performance, install approved system modifications, and recommend system architecture and technical change proposals.
  • Capable of performing analysis of system operations and performing training.
  • Experience troubleshooting, fault finding, and repair of electronic equipment.
  • Experience with communications analyzers (service monitors) spectrum analyzers, and volt meters.
  • Possess high reliability soldering skills and is experienced in repair of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), and in the use of Test Equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, millimeter's, power meters and DC power supplies.
  • Experience working in hostile and austere environments.
  • Experience in Customer support.
  • Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
  • Excellent customer presence as well as verbal and written communication skills, writing system documentation documents, and communications involving system installation and operation.
  • Able to confer competently on technical subject matter with DoD personnel to include other contract support technicians, government civilians, and military personnel from lower enlisted up to field grade officer.
  • Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

​​Desired Experience: 

  • At least seven years of relevant experience in a technical capacity whether active duty military, government service, and/or contractor. Graduate of military service technical school such as USAF 2EXXX / 3DXXX / ETC or US Army 35T / 35S / ETC or similar.
  • General Familiarization with HVAC and Generator Maintenance
  • 50% of Travel will be Require to Other European Countries.
  • Candidate is required to performed other additional duties and assist other programs or department within the Organization in support of the Contract.

  • TESA Accreditation Requirements; A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.
  • Must have a current and active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
