Exciting new work, cloud development using new technologies, GDIT is seeking a Java Developer to join our team.
We are an established team of 90+ who are working with Custom Border Protection (CBP) at Cargo Systems Program Directorate (CSPD) help them accomplish the vision of a streamlined, paperless, single window electronic filing using Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) systems.
Must be local to the area. Some telecommuting allowed.
GDIT is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our team.
2+ years of Java development experience, Java 8 and higher
Experience developing against relational databases and solid SQL querying skills
2+ years’ experience of programming frameworks like Spring or Angular
years’ experience with web services development – SOAP/REST
1+ years’ experience of UI development
Experience writing automated unit tests
Knowledge/experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and AWS
Experience working on an Agile Team
Ability to obtain a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Public Trust Suitability (takes 4-6 weeks)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of experience
