The Unified Communications (UC) Project Manager is the Tier3 Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert for Unified Communications technologies. This position ensures that UC projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide oversight, guidance, direction, and leadership to all contracted team members assigned to Unified Communications support
Provide briefings to leadership, create reports and documentation on demand, ensure deliverable compliance, and interface between customer organization and team members
Provide overall responsibility for the success of the UC contract team effort, to include managing staff, process and project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring and controlling all collaborative efforts of the UC contract staff
Work with the program manager, to provide effective and efficient management of the Contractor’s effort
Conduct regular SCRUMs and checkpoints to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding UC projects
Assist in the creation of UC guidelines, policies, standards and procedures
Create and deliver presentations, and represent the team in briefings and in presentations
Converse and provide recommendations to the team and federal government customer team on unified communications activities and actions
Experience with leading and managing Agile/DevOps teams and processes
Experience with leading, managing, and working in an ITIL v3 or v4 framework to deliver enterprise services
Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or the equivalent and 12 years related experience or a MS and 10 years of experience or the equivalent
8+ years of IT Project Management, at least 6, of which shall be specialized in Enterprise IT services
Experience managing a global enterprise mission critical service
Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and teams
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting an teamwork mentality
Demonstrated ability to coordinate events, individuals and groups
Experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting
Shall have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as Earned Value Management
Shall be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and ICD 801 policies
Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment is required
Good understanding of all UC systems, architecture, technologies and related activities
Strong and varied networks and unified communications background
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Desired Education, Experience, and Skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
US Citizen with DHS Public Trust suitability clearance/EOD
Experience with any DHS agencies or entities
Understanding of ServiceNow in a Tier 1 - 4 support role
Candidate must be an US citizen able to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance and USCIS EOD to start work.
