Developing lasting relationships within Education and serving as a trusted advisor to customers.
Managing a diverse program providing agency-wide IT services - including end-user desktop services, back-end application services, help desk services, enterprise security, disaster recovery services, and integrated operational oversight/reporting.
Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Develop staff and ensure ongoing performance as well as professional growth.
Overseeing and continually improving delivery on program including support problem resolution.
Achieving financial and growth targets.
Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

10+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT services programs.
15+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT services programs.
10+ years IT management experience
5+ years’ experience managing delivery of “managed services” supporting 6,500 users or more using ITIL best practices.
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
Experience managing and growing federal programs
Direct experience with the Department of Education highly desired
Proficiency in building a business strategy that drives growth and execution
Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters
Established hands-on experience managing programs of significance – both execution and financial focus
Ability and flexibility for travel within the US
Expertise in a variety of emerging and established technologies and the ability to speak to these technologies with customers or in presentations
Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written. Must have the ability to present in front of audiences of any size.
Ability to work at the customer site in Washington, DC.
