GDIT has an opportunity for Sr. Systems Analyst to support U.S. Army Europe on our EMITS program Team in Kaiserslautern Germany.
The Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for deploying, managing, configuring & troubleshooting CISCO routers and switches connected to the EUR NIPRNET, SIPRNET and MPE networks. The Sr. Systems Analyst is also tasked with deploying, managing, configuring & troubleshooting CISCO VOIP telephones, videophones and VTC equipment connected to the EUR NIPRNET, SIPRNET and MPE networks.
Mission Command Systems and Military Communications Systems duties
Monitors health of network and network devices by utilizing Solar Winds and Spectrum programs.
Provide SME support to the following Mission Command systems: JBC-P, JCR, FBCB2,
Provide SME support to the following Mission Command Network systems: CSS-VSAT, TSIv2, CPCE, AFATADS, AMDWS, DCGS-A
Provide SME support to the following Combat Net Radio systems: SCINGARS, ASIP (all vehicle configurations), AN/PRC-150 (LOS, BLOS and ALE), AN/PRC-148
Provide SME support to the following multi mission radio systems: AN/PSC-5, AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-192
SATCOM Duties
Initiates SAR (satellite access request) and GAR (gateway access request) for activation of COTS VSAT systems.
Manage SATCOM earth terminal equipment to include LNB, BUC, Power Amplifier and modem
Set-up VSAT system, acquire satellite and join networks
COTS and LMR Duties
Deploys, Manages, Programs, Troubleshoots Motorola APX hand held and mobile radios, ICOM IR50 hand held and mobile radios, portable repeater systems Deploys, Manages, Programs, Troubleshoots 4k Solutions Mobile Broadband Kits.
This includes direct interface and remote access via Net Cloud. Deploys, Manages, Programs, Troubleshoots ACU-2000 radio interoperability gateway.
Requirements
Active Secret Clearance
Must meet the certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M.
Must have the following IT certificate: Security+
Must be able to pass German TESA Requirements: Bachelors Degree and 3+ years experience or Associates degree and 7 years or HS Diploma and 11 years experience.
Must be familiar with the AN/PYQ-10 Simple key loader and its operation.
Must demonstrate the requirements of being a COMSEC Local Element (hand receipt holder) and be willing to perform duties as same.
Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in planning and deployment of RF communications equipment to include initial site and equipment selection, RF interference mitigation, root cause analysis of poor propagation outside-the-box thinking for solving multiple complex RF problem.
Must be able to provide training and training support on all of the above listed systems, This training capability includes the creation of custom training content.
Must be willing to deploy to austere locations in support of training. Provide SME input into all phases of communications planning in support of small and large scale training events.
Ability to brief SR level and VIP on all aspects of communications planning, equipment capabilities and limitations.
Provides multi-year life cycle sustainment plan for all assigned equipment.
Must have experience in the following: Entire office suite with an emphasis on PPT and EXCL; MS Visio; MS Project
This position may require lifting of moderate to heavy objects (i.e. IT Hardware) and long periods of sitting or standing, depending on task.
