Release Software Senior Developer

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:   

• You’ll join our talented Development Team. Our project is built on a multi-tier architecture including Service Oriented architecture, multi-tier web applications using Java and various other COTS products. 
• Design, develop, implement and maintains unit test and automated tests and diagnostic programs. 
•  Work closely with team lead towards the completion of specifications and procedures for new products.  
• Define test cases and creates development integration and system test scripts from functional requirement documents and technical designs. 
• Maintain defect reports and updates reports following regression testing efforts.  
• Provide support for Sanity testing and monitoring the initial configuration and parameters of equipment for system credibility. 
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support to ensure cost effective and efficient resolution of problems.  
• Participate in writing test plans for assigned projects. Maintain record of test progress, documents test results, prepares reports and may present results as appropriate. Use Data Analysis to report defect trends and identify risks. 
• Perform testing, troubleshooting and analysis tasks on various phase(s) of network systems development including integration, systems testing, interoperability testing, field test plans and customer acceptance plans to maintain the credibility/viability of the system.  
• Develop an internal development timeline for technical and non-technical deliverables during the SDLC process including release notes, deploy instructions, remediation and disposition plans. Perform audits of development deliverables aligned to the timeline and ensures standards are maintained and best practices are followed. 
• Adhere to and advocate use of established quality methodology and escalates issues as appropriate. Take ownership of problems and drives coordination of team members to proactively prevent and solve problems. 
• Track deliverables across the phases of the SDLC process to identify responsible parties and capture stage-gate sign off. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:    

Education:   

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field.   

Experience:   

• Five (5) years of intensive and progressive Information Technology experience
• Two (2) years of experience in a software developer role or test engineer role preferably with Java/J2EE application stack 
• Two (2) years of experience supporting software development teams and software development process  
• One (1) year domain experience in Healthcare, Medicaid, Health Exchange, or Insurance Claims
