The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SECs IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC.

​GDIT has an immediate opportunity for a Problem/Risk Analyst to support our SEC customer in Washington, DC.  Candidates must be US Citizens (without dual citizenship) and eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Job Duties:

  • Identify and classify problems, Investigate and diagnose problems, raise known errors

  • Resolve and close problems and perform proactive problem management activities.

  • Participate in and assist with the facilitation of ad-hoc and recurring meetings pertaining to problem management.

  • Revise and maintain a Problem Management (PM) plan, policies, processes and procedures that reflect ITIL best practices

  • Develop status and performance reports for staff and senior management

  • Operate and maintain the Problem Management module and associated interfaces in Service Now..

  • Upgrade, maintain and use a Known Error Database (KEDB) for problem management.

  • Perform incident trend analysis to identify problems and perform proactive problem management activities.

  • Provide guidance for conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), evaluate the RCAs provided by problem analysts and conduct incident trend analysis

  • Analyze problems to verify correct prioritization and categorization

  • Perform risk assessments based on collected metrics, statistics, business processes, documentations, and reports.

  • Draft and prepare regular and ad hoc reports for leadership, recommending best actions and allowing leadership to make informed, strategic, and risk-effective decisions.

  • Review, assess and develop risk management policies and protocols, enabling recommendations and improvements.

  • Analyze reports to identify, resolve, and communicate issues with managers.

  • Collaborate with project management, and various teams to facilitate accurate and effective program control and reporting.

  • Engage in cross-team collaboration, as needed.

Required Experience:

  • 4 years of progressive experience in relevant areas including: strategic communications, business management techniques and functions, reporting, data collection and analysis, written executive communications, and process improvement. 
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting data and/or analysis clearly and succinctly to an executive audience. 
  • Experience evaluating data and developing efficiencies to streamline reporting and technical processes. Ability to use multiple technical systems to evaluate data gathered from the systems for analysis and action is required.
