GDIT is seeking a Technical Writer to provide support for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract. PLEASE NOTE: The employee will be required to report onsite several days a week in either Fort Meade, MD or Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with developing comprehensive documentation that’s in alignment with organizational standards.

  • Translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content.

  • Produce user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets users up for success.

  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.

  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.

  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.

  • Reviews and edits materials for punctuation and grammar.

  •  Prepares relevant and innovative content.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TOP Secret clearance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years’ experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

  • Experience with commercial cloud services.

  • Strong communications experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Report onsite as indicated above

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • PMP, ITIL, and/or SixSigma certifications.

  • Understanding of IT environments.

  • Technical knowledge of IT Engineering / Infrastructure and cloud-based services a plus.
