We are looking for a Senior Drupal/NodeJS Developer/ Technical Lead  who will work in a hands-on capacity to lead design and technical discussions with project team and assist in the design of technical solutions. You will facilitate and lead collaboration between the developers, and collaborate with infrastructure personnel, as well as assist with planning for website redesign and content restructure, new features, O&M tasks, client demos, and possible innovations. You will need to identify and solve project-related issues that are technical, business, and resource specific.

This is a dynamic position and requires an individual with strong technical, communication, and collaboration skills who can think strategically and execute tactically.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform site-building activities, including creating and modifying views, contexts and blocks in order to match functionality specified in wireframes and designs
  • Create and test custom Drupal modules
  • Install, test and debug contrib Drupal modules
  • Evaluate designs, wireframes and other deliverables during the design and user experience phase for potential development issues and flag data model and/or feasibility challenges when needed
  • Conduct peer review of code created by other developers
  • Perform security and performance reviews of sites prior to deployments
  • Communicate the intricacies of backend development challenges/issues, acting as a subject matter expert both internally across departments and externally with clients
  • Help level up the team’s skills
  • Manage a robust and inclusive code review process and review a lot of code
  • Define standards and best practices for technical strategy and development on the team
  • Operate within an agile development process

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years building secure, accessible, responsive web applications for the US government

• 5+ years building Drupal solutions, including module development, theming, and migrations

• 4+ years of technical leadership; 2+ client-facing

• Demonstrated proficiency writing HTML, CSS, PHP, JS, and NodeJS

• Expert command of Git, Drush, and Composer

• Proficiency developing in a containerized environment

• Excellent oral communications, thought leadership, and formal presentation skills

• A strong sense of ownership and engagement

Nice to Have

• Drupal username and a history of community contribution

• A portfolio of work including links to projects with a summary of your role on each

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Texas or Montana or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
