Job Description

GDIT is seeking a O365 Tenant Automation Engineer to provide support on our Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract. This is a 100% remote position, however, the employee must reside in the Continental US (CONUS).

HOW A O365 TENANT AUTOMATION ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Follow software development best practices to facilitate collaboration, feature enhancement, issue tracking, testing, development, and production deployment

  • Implement automation of tenant management and other tasks using Power Platform, PowerShell, APIs, etc.

  • Utilize parameter driven, declarative syntax models, when possible, to afford flexibility and simplicity to subscribing organizations

  • Implement Policy as Code (PaC) using platforms like Ansible, Terraform, M365DSC, etc

  • Establish a CI/CD pipeline that validates all releases in Dev and Test prior to deployment in production

  • Provides top-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis.

  • Designs architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.

  • Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for DoD architectures.

  • Determines and identifies high level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the enterprise architecture.

  • Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades.

  • Interacts with project management to plan project schedules and technical direction.

  • Develops software design documents and technology white papers.  Instrumental in selection of development tools.

  • Develops high level system design diagrams, testing, and documentation.

  • Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:

  • CLEARACE: Active DoD Secret clearance

  • CERTIFICATION: IAT Level II certification

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree OR additional work experience in lieu of degree

  • YEAR'S EXPERIENCE: 8 years of experience

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS: Experience in Cloud, Azure, MS Office 365 support environments

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS: Online collaboration on configuration changes using a distributed revision control system (i.e. Git).

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS: Automation of tenant configurations using Microsoft 365 related API endpoints and automation with PowerShell Modules and Power Platform

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS: Experience with the administrative interfaces and the capabilities of:

    • Azure Active Directory

    • Exchange

    • OneDrive

    • SharePoint

    • Teams

    • Power Apps

    • Microsoft Endpoint Manager

    • Security & Compliance Center

  • SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • LOCATION: Remote (must reside in the CONUS)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $139,200 - $208,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
