The FAA EIM Program is the leading data strategy for the FAA. We are looking for a bright and talented UI/UX designer to join our project.

The GDIT team provides you an opportunity to work with professionals to integrate human centered design to deliver the best experience for FAA users. You'll have an opportunity to work on Big Data, Cloud and Data Analytics technologies.

Job Description Summary and Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design
  • Hands-on experience developing using: React, Java, Node.js, Angular, Java
  • Experience driving responsive design, story boarding and wireframes
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows (e.g. using tools such as UXPin, Balsamiq)
  • Conduct user research to understand workflows, construct personas and assess usability
  • Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
  • Experience incorporating reliable unit and end-to-end testing to UI frameworks
  • Experience in web design and front end development using HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java Scripts and jQuery
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and possess expert debugging skills with UI related issues
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Working knowledge of Government regulations, including Section 508 compliance and accessibility
  • Experience with working on adding 508 tags and pass 508 testing
