Systems Engineer Senior Advisor TS/SCI Stuttgart, Germany

US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission, coalition, and other national partners.. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team directly supports the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative, driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
The candidate will work across the BICES-X enterprise as well as other BICES associated Task Orders. The candidate will work on strategic roadmap initiatives as well as support development to the enterprise roadmap. The candidate will assist with planning and requirements capture to support US BICES. Candidate coordinates with the BICES Capabilities Office (BCO) and other components to facilitate open and frequent communications and ensure US BICES is effectively supported.
Performs complex systems development and design work to include network design, data center design, system development, model formulation, and cost projections.
Performs systems testing, simulation, and analysis.
Participates in the upgrading process of enterprise networks and design of systems enhancements.
Builds and supports lab development environments.
Provides input for documentation on enterprise systems.
Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
Mentors junior level staff to provide providing training, technical guidance and work leadership
Determines system specifications, inputs and outputs to technical processes, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
10+ years of related network, cyber, or systems engineering experience
Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT Level II (Security+) access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges
The work environment is fast paced and requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously based on customer needs
Experience with maintaining information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs etc.)
Project Management Professional certification
Previous experience supporting Coalition networks
Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required
This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to locations worldwide
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment
