Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in support of developing Theater ammunition policies and procedures in support of the USARCENT mission.
Have working knowledge of U.S conventional weapon system capabilities employment and associated Combat Load (CL) ammunition.
Have experience in conventional ammunition operations and U.S. Department of Defense Ammunition doctrine to include employment of ammunition support forces. Also have working knowledge automation system of the Standard Army Ammunition System Modernization (SAAS-MOD) architecture functionality, reporting, and capabilities; ammunition storage and explosive safety; transportation and security of ammunition and explosives in accordance with DA PAM 385-64, AR 190.11, FM 4-30.1, FM 4-30.13, SAAS-MOD User manual.
Have knowledge of other automation systems to include 1) National Level Ammunition Capabilities (NLAC), 2) Joint Hazard Classification System (JHCS), and 3) Total Ammunition Management Information Systems (TAMIS), Munitions History Program (MHP), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW).
Have experience with computer software/office applications to include: 1) Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher), 2) Adobe Acrobat Reader, 3) PureEdge Viewer, and 4) Internet Explorer.
Maintain visibility of ammunition at theater-wide level USARCENT area of operation using SAAS-MOD generated browsers, charts prepared by the CJOA munitions management nodes, and Theater ammunition management nodes.
Identify munitions shortages and recommend resupply action, monitor on hand stocks for both operational and training ammunition.
Perform as expediter and troubleshooter for issues involving Class V shipments; Air, Land, or Sea for all intra- and / or inter- theater shipments that support the USARCENT AOR.
Monitor ammunition retrograde operations, monitor unserviceable ammunition stockpile, and assisting 1st Theater Sustainment Command (1st TSC) with disposition instructions as it pertains to USARCENT ammunition operations.
Possess proficiency in ammunition operations, tactics, techniques, procedures and practices, to include SAAS-MOD, processing of Daily Cycles and Reports, support of normal inventory operations, and proper accountability of stocks.
Have experience with managing the distribution and accountability of ammunition in South West Asia (SWA) in conjunction with the USARCENT G4's guidance.
Have experience handling classified and unclassified information up to the Secret level.
Have knowledge of DoD supply management and/or distribution management and systems.
Have knowledge of the international standards organization (ISO) shipping containers and palletized loading systems (PLS), and development and implementation of local and theater policies and procedures including employment of distribution systems.
Maintain continuous liaison with other staff directorates, contractors, and commands within the USARCENT AOR.
Required to assist in preparing the following recurring products related to ammunition: 1) SITREP, Critical Munitions Tracker, LOGCOP, Missile Report, Munitions Synch.
Responsible for distributing and synchronizing information collected and prepared across the USARCENT G4
Required to prepare staffing documents and staffing packages for Orders, Messages or Fragmentation Orders (FRAGO) to support the publishing of ammunition related policies and procedures for the USARCENT AOR.
Monitor the progress of the staffed documents from the preparation phase throughout the publishing phase.
Archive published ammunition related orders, messages, and FRAGO's on the USARCENT Munitions Branch SharePoint Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) Portal.
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of Theater/Operational level Conventional Ammunition Management experience, to include the distribution and accountability of ammunitions.
Minimum of 3 years SAAS experience as a SAAS operator conducting data entry daily for the three years.
Proficient in SAAS set-up, loading of software, loading of software upgrades, operations, procedures and practices, to include maintenance of SAAS connectivity, processing of Daily Cycles and Reports, support of normal inventory operations, and proper accountability of stocks.
Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Must pass medical exams in accordance with CENTCOM MOD 14 standards
Must be willing to deploy to CENTCOM AOR via CRC
This position will deploy with U.S. Forces, and therefore is subject to Deployed Contractor training and regulations, and USCENTCOM Individual Protection and individual / Unit Deployment Policy. Successful candidates will be subject to initial and recurring physical examinations and medical testing, and meet fitness for duty requirements in accordance with the CENTCOM Policy and related modifications and regulations.
