The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting LAN, WAN and Wireless infrastructures. The Sr. Network Engineer will provide high-level technical support for wired and wireless data network systems, create and maintain network documentation and work projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. This position requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform remote and on-site client consultation: plan, design, implement, and support the network infrastructure
  • Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing wired and wireless data networks and recommend improvements
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  • Direct the work of other technical team members and subcontractors
  • Work is performed with minimal supervision by senior management
  • Knowledge transfer and working well within a team are success essentials
Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
  • Experience in network engineering (hardware and software), network security practices and designing, planning and implementing LANs and WANs including both Cisco and Juniper devices.
  • Experience with moving networks and functions to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures to maximize flexibility and productivity
  • Minimum of five years related experience in network and security infrastructure environments
  • Experience with SDN and SD-WAN a plus
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or other cloud certification a plus
  • Juniper and/or Cisco certifications a plus – such as any of JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE;  JNCIA/JCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE-Cloud; CCNA/CCNP/CCIE;  CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Cloud,
  • Knowledge of wireless design and deployment for next generation wireless a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users
  • Must possess excellent client management/resolution, problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills, with sound presentation skills
  • Excellent English verbal communications and written documentation skills are required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
