GDIT’s DOJ/OJP team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Training Specialist to join our team.  Our contract team has an exciting opportunity to define the path forward for the Office of Justice Programs, the primary grant making arm of the Department of Justice, funding over $4 billion in grants each year.  Our IT service delivery contract is responsible for maintaining and modernizing the diverse technology landscape at OJP and ensuring the OJP's stakeholders have the right IT capabilities to provide needed services to communities and organizations around the world. 

Candidate would be expected to create and provide training materials for OJP Grants Management System and conduct training as needed to OJP staff as well as other organizations.  Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Deliver instruction in the use of software applications. Conducts and facilitates computer training classes using instructor-led and online delivery modalities, as well as software applications in adult education training programs.
  • Train a variety of Software Applications.
  • Creates designs, composes, writes and delivers training material. Revises and updates training programs. Designs and writes training manuals and materials, including e-learning content. Creates PowerPoint presentations. Develops trainer's guides.
  • Conducts needs analyses for Development and Central Office training (e.g., creating and distributing surveys and/or conducting focus groups).
  • Serve as a liaison between program team and the federal staff in defining and implementing training artifact standards
  • Ensure program training artifacts adhere to GDIT and client-defined standards

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Must possess excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Must be comfortable interacting with both technical and Director level customer staff
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, business/finance, English, education, or human resources.
  • Minimum of four years intensive or progressive experience. Demonstrated experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of solutions for learning.
