GDIT’s Military Health IT Team is HIRING a Virtual Health Information Technology Manager to provide Information Technology, Video Network, and Network advisement to virtual health originating sites that require specialty care at the point of need for the Defense Health Agency’s Virtual Medical Center in Europe (VME-E). Candidates will be working from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, located in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The target start timeframe for this position is this Fall 2020.
VMC-E provides digital health care delivery between 300+ providers within 43 specialties to patients in garrison, operational, and remote settings spanning four COCOM’s on three continents serving Army, Air Force, Navy, NATO, DLA, DIA, and DoS Service and Family members. The VMC-E end state will be to sustain current capabilities and increase global footprint to facilitate and leverage Defense Health Region-Europe’s (DHR-E) Medical Center and Treatment Facility Specialty Services throughout the DHR-E, other DHA Markets, and the Combatant Commands within VMC-E’s Area of Responsibility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Document Operational Virtual Health (VH) Sites communication infrastructures throughout USAFRICOM, USCENTCOM, and USEUCOM to provide analysis for scalable health-care specialty service capabilities
Understand complex connectivity challenges and solutions within deployed and remote environments to include USA, USAF, and USN tactical communication solutions
Update Virtual Health Technical Advisor on the newest communication platforms utilized by remote and operational units and ensure updated Operational VH connection materials are present for specialty care coordination
Track and analyze ROVH Connectivity data throughout the COCOMs, utilizing available data analytic tools; consolidate monthly usage and case reports
Consolidate monthly usage and use case reports to assist VMC-E with ROVH Return on Investment
Onsite testing, piloting, and data collection of new OVH capabilities
What You’ll Need (required):
BA/BS in related field
Must have Certification in CompTIA Security+ and any vendor related certifications (CISCO / CMS, Polycom)
6+ experience in the technology surrounding video conferencing including conference room and desktop systems, MCU's, Gateway, Gatekeeper, and integrated A/V systems.
Strong working knowledge of standard video communications protocols such as IP, SIP and ISDN.
General understanding of tactical communication platforms utilized by the USA, USAF, & USN.
Fluency in the English language (read, write and speak). Ability to understand medical and technical knowledge at a working level in the English Language, and to be able to communicate with patients, health care providers, and leadership.
Currently holds a T1/ NACI security investigation OR can pass the T1/ NACI security investigation process.
