And our work depends on a Functional Analyst Associate joining our team to support New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Medicaid Management Information System activities.  In this role, you will work closely with multiple New York State agencies through the analysis, processing and implementation of funds received from providers within the eMedNY program.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Functional Analyst Associate supporting the Provider Services department, you will be trusted to support the eMedNY Financial Support unit regarding financial tracking, reporting and analysis.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Work closely with eMedNY Program Accounting and Quality Assurance departments
  • Utilize Excel, MS Word, SQL queries, and Thin Client to track, report, and analyze financial processes
  • Apply weekly State Agency Receivable Financial Transactions
  • Prepare monthly manual check reissue requests to eMedNY Program Accounting
  • Generate claim voids due to provider billing errors or third party reimbursements
  • Monitor eMedNY Financial Support email inbox and respond to providers within a timely manner
  • Process provider checks through full financial cycle
  • Prepare claim resubmissions
  • Maintains an excel database with detailed financial information
  • Complete other weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed


  • BA/BS or 2+ years of experience working with financial data (reconciliation and balancing of data)
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience using Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
